The NCC at MRDU instills discipline, patriotism, and leadership through structured military training and civic service. Established under the National Cadet Corps Act of 1948, NCC is a legacy of the University Officers Training Corps (UOTC) and continues to be a cornerstone of youth development in India.
To develop leadership, character, and a spirit of service among students while preparing them to contribute to national security and civic order.
“Unity and Discipline” (Ekta aur Anushasan) – the guiding principle of NCC, reflected in its tri-color flag representing the Army (Red), Navy (Blue), and Air Force (Light Blue), encircled by 17 lotus petals for each State Directorate.
Through NSS and NCC, MRDU students evolve into well-rounded individuals—leaders who serve with integrity, citizens who act with compassion, and professionals who uphold the values of discipline and democracy. These programs complement academic learning with real-world engagement, preparing students to be agents of change in society.
