According to the guidelines of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), every accredited institution is required to establish its own Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to ensure the maintenance of post-accreditation quality standards. Quality enhancement is an ongoing process, and the IQAC becomes an integral part of the institution’s system, working towards the realization of quality enhancement and sustenance goals.
In June 2010, as part of the post-NAAC quality sustenance efforts, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell was established at Malla Reddy (MR) Deemed to be University. The establishment of the IQAC marked a significant milestone in understanding the notion of “Quality Assurance” within the institution. The IQAC at MRDU has not only undertaken various quality assurance activities but has also created an institutional database.
MRDU was first accredited by NAAC in 2010 for the first cycle with an ‘A’ Grade, followed by accreditation in 2015 for the second cycle with an ‘A’ Grade, and in 2022 for the third cycle with an ‘A++’ Grade. The IQAC of MREC has continued its efforts towards process improvement and enhancement.
The IQAC of MRDU is situated on the Ground Floor of the Administrative Block, Malla Reddy (MR) Deemed to be University, Maisammaguda (H), Medchal-Malkajgiri District, Secunderabad, Telangana State – 500100.
To foster a quality-centric culture within the institution by institutionalizing and internalizing all initiatives with the support of both internal and external stakeholders.
To streamline and systematize institutional efforts towards achieving academic excellence and to serve as the driving force in enhancing quality by addressing deficiencies.

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) was inaugurated at Malla Reddy (MR) Deemed to be University, located in Maisammaguda (H), Gundlapochampally Village, Medchal Mandal, Medchal-Malkajgiri District, Telangana State – 500100, on July 1st, 2010, by Ch. Malla Reddy, Chairman of Malla Reddy Group of Institutions. Currently, Dr. A. Ramaswami Reddy, the Director/Principal of MRDC(A), serves as the Chairman of IQAC, with Dr. T. Rajesh, Professor from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, acting as the Dean of IQAC. The composition of IQAC includes all stakeholders of the Institute, comprising students, alumni, parents, all Department and Section Heads, members of the Management and Administration, as well as members of the local community and industry experts.
• To cultivate and uphold a quality culture at the institutional level.
• To plan, guide, and monitor Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Enhancement (QE) activities within the institution.
• To function not merely as a record-keeping cell, but to effectively channelize and systematize efforts towards steering the institution towards academic excellence.
• To serve as a proactive force in implementing intervention strategies aimed at addressing deficiencies and elevating overall quality standards.
