Board of Studies (BOS)

All academic departments at Malla Reddy (MR) Deemed to be University follow a uniform Board of Studies (BOS) structure for both Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) programs, constituted strictly in accordance with the UGC guidelines and regulations.

The BOS evaluates comprehensive feedback from key stakeholders—including current students, parents, alumni, industry experts, academic peers, and faculty. It deliberates on curricular enhancement to recommend progressive changes to the Academic Council, ensuring that academic programs remain globally benchmarked, research-driven, and aligned with emerging industry requirements.

  • Two Associate Professors Department Academic Members
  • Two Assistant Professors Department Academic Members
  • Up to 2 Subject Experts Co-opted members from Profession/Industry
Curriculum Cycle

BOS Working Methodology

  1. 1

    Stakeholder Feedback Collection: Gathers input from students, parents, alumni, industry leaders, and academic peers.

    Departmental Review: Initial evaluation of feedback by the Departmental Curriculum Committee.

  3. 3

    Change Request & Agenda Formulation: Prepares specific curriculum modification proposals and formal agenda items.

  4. 4

    BOS Deliberation: Formal discussion and refinement of proposed syllabus changes during the BOS meeting.

  5. 5

    Academic Council Recommendation: Submits approved recommendations to the Academic Council for final endorsement.

  6. 6

    Curriculum Implementation: Releases the updated curriculum version and executes implementation across departments.
